Acne is men’s top ‘grooming nightmare’

Research carried out by male grooming brand Braun during freshers’ weeks at UK universities has revealed acne is a top concern for male students. Nearly seven out of ten of the men surveyed put acne and spots in their top three of ‘grooming nightmares’.

Acne and acne scars can be confidence sapping, but fortunately there is plenty that can be done to limit the outbreaks as well as reduce the appearance of scarring.

At Hans Place Practice we recommend the use of INTRAcel to help treat acne and acne scars. This non-surgical procedure combines radio frequency technology, micro-needling and fractional treatments in one, easy treatment that stimulates collagen production, leading to smoother, clearer skin.

Dr Mike Comins of Hans Place Practice suggests patients use INTRAcel in partnership with Obagi, a prescription skincare range that helps promote the production of healthy skin cells as well as boosting bloodflow, hydration and the delivery of nutrients to the skin. Specific dosages of active and prescription ingredients are determined on a case-by-case basis by Dr Comins to ensure that each patient receives the precise treatment that they need for their unique condition.
