A recognised authority in complex breast surgery, Mr. Van Niekerk is experienced in procedures such as breast uplift (mastopexy), reduction, correction of asymmetry, and surgery for tuberous breasts. He also offers expert care in labiaplasty and reconstructive procedures tailored to individual anatomy and goals.
Surgery is more than a profession – it’s in his heritage. Mr. Van Niekerk hails from a family with a legacy of medical innovation; his great-uncle performed the world’s first successful heart transplant. He earned his medical degree in Pretoria, South Africa, in 1996, and brings over two decades of experience to his practice today.
Furthering his expertise in the UK, he pursued specialist training in Surgery, Anatomy, and Craniofacial techniques at the University of Oxford. During his 14-year service in the Royal Air Force, he was among a select group of military surgeons treating British armed forces personnel at the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine – first at Selly Oak Hospital and later at Birmingham’s New Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Mr. Van Niekerk’s clinical focus includes aesthetic surgery, reconstructive microsurgery, complex trauma, and burns. His military and academic background have equipped him with the precision and discipline required to deliver exceptional cosmetic outcomes.
